Job Summary
This position is responsible for the coordination and/or supervision of assigned construction contractors and advises the management of the projects on their safety compliance, quality of work, productivity, schedule, and anticipated problems. This opportunity is predicted to last 2+ years.
**Must be able to work all shifts, but most likely, it will be a majority of 3rd shift.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitors the performance of contractors and contractor personnel to ensure optimum safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. Recommends corrective actions when performance is found to be unacceptable.
- Reviews and monitors contractor schedules for compliance with contract specifications.
- Monitors contractor work for compliance with quality requirements.
- Investigates contractor accidents, reviews accident reports, and recommends corrective action.
- Reviews contractor’s plans and controls construction activities so as to provide an accident-free workplace.
- Ensures that contractors comply with applicable governmental regulations and reporting requirements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Job-related experience of 5 years or more in related electrical, power production, or natural gas. (For example, an electric foreman or Power Plant Safety Manager)
- 5-10 years of supervisory/project management experience is preferred.
- Power Generation construction experience required.
- Quality Control a plus.
- Above-average communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with management, contractors, and their employees.
- Advanced knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance practices and procedures.
- Proficient in quality standards related to materials and equipment.
- Competent in the use of standard software packages. (Word, Excel, etc)
